Eating a gift I received at: Unplug to Recharge retreat

At the Unplug to Recharge retreat, I was gifted this Pollock avocado.

Thank you, Sherinata Pollock (yes, it’s wild that the avocado shares her last name) for gifting me with this huge, Haas-like avocado. It’s sooo creamy and good tasting, I can hardly explain! I even put some of it in a couple freezer bags for use throughout this week in my green WildFit smoothies (they call them, Alkagizers). (I’m finishing week 6 of WildFit and down 8 pounds as of this morning, since beginning this program.)

I’m also sooo happy to have met Sherinata–a new “soulie sister”!

Here are pictures of this amazing avocado:

Ripe Pollock avocado
Checking ripeness by playing with the stem nub
Yes, the stem nub is coming off (always a sign of ripeness of an avocado)
Stem is off and I’m ready to cut and scoop out the avocado

I used the Pollock avocado in my green veggie smoothie, as well as, a topping to some cooked cabbage (I used to slather butter on my boiled cabbage–the only way I ever ate it before). So, yeah, it’s a game changer. Of course, flax seeds are great on the cooked cabbage too! And I’d never done THAT before in my life. I am so loving unleveling my diet, y’all. So lovin’ WildFit!

As an aside, but a very important one: Sherinata owns a company called, Karelia Creations. I’ve signed up to offer some of her products as well. You’ll see some on my Wholly Integrating the Spiral (WITS) store page here: https://sheilamurrey.net/store/
You can check out her lovely and health-affirming creations at: https://kareliacreations.com/?fbclid=IwAR1LWlNGnS3Swo6e6wnS0-vCkOEvc_L6HDI2S5tDbsRlxpcrylSyrkh3zSc

I’m continuing to make cabbage, adding cauliflower and asparagus to it as well, that I’d learned to make at the retreat. Stay tune to the next article about that!

I am sooo thankful to Gloria Grace Rand, for the Unplug to Recharge retreat, new recipes, and especially that this is becoming very sustainable for me. Perhaps, because I am integrating into my life by following the little framework I developed in 2020 called, Integrated Spiral. Haha!

Review: Unplug to Recharge, retreat I attended. Thank you, Gloria Grace Rand!

After a 16 hour adventure of a day that included: almost 2 hours driving over to Davenport, Florida, 12 hours of delightful retreat workshop activities, clean eating, body treatment under crystal lights, chatting with enlightened souls and making new soul bonds, and a bit more than one hour and a half driving back home to Bradenton, Florida… I was pooped but highly Energized! I thoroughly enjoyed my day (blessed IN Joy)!

Here’s my review of Unplug to Recharge retreat.

First, the other kindred spirits at this weekend retreat became new “soulie sisters” of mine! That means, we each felt as if we’d made a soul friend within minutes of meeting. And that’s always very aWEsOMe!

We started the morning by taking turns introducing ourselves to each other while holding a beautiful Talking Stick that Gloria brought. Those familiar with Stephen Covey’s classes, or Native American ceremonies will know what this is. It helped each of us feel heard, while encouraging the listeners to practice Active Listening skills (instead of thinking about what they would say next). We had fun with this routine though, and sometimes when one of us would get excited and want to burst with some statement, another would say, “Touch the stick, touch the stick”! And we would all roar with laughter!

Then, we moved to the massive kitchen table to being making salt scrub (mine’s in the glass jar with black lid in the photo). I was thrilled to do this activity because I’d tried this before (years ago–on my own) and hadn’t been very successful, so this was a treat! And now I know how to make this for myself from here on out. (Wink!) I used lavender essential oil and vanilla. It works well and smells sooo good!

Later in the day, we worked on cards, similar to vision boards, but much more interesting! The cards are part of a process called, Soul Collage–and for me, it served as a sort of automatic writing class! I enjoyed this time immensely, especially the sharing about each of our cards after we completing creating the boards and writing about them.

Here’s one of my cards. I named it, Blue. I guess it’s very fitting I’d do that, since I just finished writing my new book, Blue Eyes (it’s off to the editor as of 9/9/2022).

Sheila’s soul collage, “Blue.”
Sheila’s interpretation (automatic writing) of “Blue.”

I can’t say enough about how this experience allowed each of us to learn more about each other and bond. I’d had an expectation that I may not engage that much with this project because I’d not Connected so strongly with vision board creation years ago–wow, was I wrong!

I loved exploring more about this way of automatic writing (I’d wanted to do automatic writing but had not previously taken the time). So it was really revealing and I enjoyed that.

Here’s a picture of me creating my boards (note the blue glass in the window):

Gloria snapped this picture of me while I was making my soul collage.

And this is my two second board, along with the page out of my journal (a gift from Gloria to each participant):

Sheila’s soul collage, “Sunlight.”
Sheila’s interpretation (automatic writing) of “Sunlight.”

Gloria cooked lunch and dinner for us, and totally exceeded my expectations of food that was gluten-free (and grain free). Plus, the food was so good, I asked for the recipes! (That almost never happens.)

Dinner – chicken cabbage squash and radishes

We also said a meditation prayer of thanks (and held hands) before each meal (that had lovingly been placed on the kitchen table by the host). This blessed our food and perhaps, added to all the lively flavors!

Meditation for Blessing our Food

Here’s the cabbage I made yesterday, after returning home from the retreat:

We had the opportunity to take in several holistic health treatments too, and I chose to lay under the healing crystal lights.

The crystal lights were on a stand beside a bed and had an array of colored lights that would turn and off in rhythm. And light music played for the 30 minutes I was under the healing lights.

Fully clothed, I had a sheet on me and pad over my eyes so I could relax and meditate. I probably would have fallen asleep but I could hear my soulie sisters talking in the next room, just a bit–enough to keep me more present. I enjoyed laying on the under those crystal lights.

After dinner, we surprised Gloria with a luscious Chantilly Lace birthday cake from Whole Foods, a card from ALL, and gifts. We enjoyed dinner very much and the cake was divine. (I chose to have a small slice because I’m now on week 6 of WildFit.)

Gloria’s birthday cake – Chantilly Lace from Whole Foods

We had plenty of time to talk about meaningful topics with one another, do a little shopping too (from one of the gals’ crystal offerings), and try vocalizing in Light Language.

Crystal bowls Gloria played a bit for us

Gloria Grace Rand sings and speaks Light Language and gave us a collective session. I had heard it a few times before but was hesitant to try it. With much encouragement though, I did give it a whirl and sang or hummed something that sounded Asian to me. I had never heard myself sing anything like what came out of my mouth this evening before. It was stunning and energizing! I think I will continue this practice at home. (Wink!)

If you’d like to hear Gloria’s podcast where she shares her Light Language, check it out here: https://gloriarand.com/receiving-gods-grace/#more-19380

Toward evening time, we wrote on a piece of paper any of the things we wanted to “let go” or release. And then, we went into the backyard (which I noted had two twin Live Oak trees, and I felt that was uncanny since the next day was the 21st anniversary of the day the twin towers fell in New York City). We had a short full moon and fire ceremony and lit our papers on fire. I sang a bit and gave thanks for a day well spent.

Fire ceremony – burning our limiting beliefs

The retreat was located at a house called, Contemplation Castle, in Davenport, Florida.

When I see more photos on Facebook of the event, I’ll update this and add them, as I didn’t take any pictures during the event because I totally unplugged (and didn’t even take my phone out of my bag all day, except for one time to check messages from my husband). And that was the whole point of the day, for me. (My hubby always says I have my phone attached to my hip!) LOL

What are your food rules?

I’ll give you my food rules, but I am really interested to see what yours are:

Alcohol. Because I am an adult and can legally drink alcohol, I do! More or less depending on my mood or if I want a treat, but every time I stop drinking alcohol (and start feeling better in my body), I restart after 3 months or so, because I feel I deserve it, and because I can. Ugh. Awareness is step one though, right?

Cake. I am typically able to pass up cake and any kind of dessert with ease, but wedding cake? Wedding cake gets me every time! Haha! Glad I don’t officiate weddings anymore (nor have I attended any weddings in several years).

Wedding cake

Christmas cookies. I used to love the chocolate and paraffin covered peanut butter balls my aunt Gela made at Christmas, as well as the potato candy that my dad made. And then, my grandmother’s banana walnut cake with chocolate icing, and my mom’s fudge.

I have learned to let go of a lot of Christmas cookies, and other delightful confections, but I do order french chocolate truffles (and some years my daughter mails us her homemade truffles), so we indulge in those during cold holiday evenings.

I do love a fruit cake if it’s soaked in whiskey or rum, because it reminds me of my mom. And chocolate flourless cake is my favorite (even instead of cheesecake)! If we are out for dinner somewhere they offer chocolate flourless cake, I get it. Thankfully, not many places have it on their menu. I get it, on average, once a year.

Chips and dip. I have beat this habit, but if I buy potato chips, I must also buy sour cream and onion dip. Thank God Mister Bee potato chips changed their formula. I didn’t even think about buying those while we were visiting West Virginia last week.

Water. I have no rules around water, but have been trying to drink half my body weight in ounces of water each day. I think I could use a good rule around water. I have let go of soda (20 years ago), and recently began drinking more herbal teas. I love Sipology teas.

What rules around food do you have?

No one cares when I cry

No one cares when i cry

Have you ever felt like mo one cares when I cry, or that no one cares when you do any of the following:

  • Finish a blog post (so they sit in my Drafts folder)
  • Wait to add photos to a blog article until after I post it (so why do I feel I must note that the image will be inserted soon?)
  • Feel the need to explain myself
  • Finish reading a book (often it takes me a year to read one; some I read in less than a month though!)
  • Finish a project around the house or on my laptop that I’ve had in progress for months/years
  • Make a list of 29 things to do and tick them off one by one
  • Post a book review (even for a friend?)
  • Invite others to join me on trips or weekend events
  • Make a raw vegan carrot cake (that was a new recipe)
  • Wash dishes by hand (I haven’t used the dishwasher, except once to test it, since we moved to this condo last September!)
  • Wait til the last week to buy tickets to an event (if it sells out, I take that as a sign I wasn’t supposed to go)
  • Make my bed (especially now that we only sleep under a sheet?)
  • Wait to take a shower (all week! Thank God for Zoom meetings! Haha)
  • Go without wearing a bra (Hubby likes it! Haha)
  • Brush my teeth once a day (but my teeth have suffered)
  • Write a poem
  • Create a piece of art

Do you ever feel like no one cares when you cry, or any of these other things in the list above?

I wondered what Google thought about this topic and when I typed in the first few words, this is what I saw:

No one cares when I cry- Google list

Why do you think no one cares when I cry, or when you cry?

Why do you think no one cares when I cry, or when you cry?

Perhaps this is why we feel depressed or lonely? Because we want someone to care or seek Connection or attention. Hmm.

Perhaps this is why we procrastinate on doing any of the things in the list?

Can we figure out a way to feel better?

Does it bother or upset you after you’ve taken some time to analyze this?

Perhaps we make others feel depressed when we cry? Or we trigger their feelings of guilt, as they may think they need to do something to ease our crying or dry our tears?

Have you ever had anyone laugh at you when you’re crying? Maybe if you’re crying during a sad scene in a movie? And why is that annoying? It’s happened to me and I felt quite annoyed.

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking these thoughts or feeling these emotions. What are your thoughts on this topic?

RV Life: Changing furniture

There are lots of “gotchas” one finds when they start removing RV furniture.

After living in our Carriage Carri-Lite 5th wheel for 8 years, our chairs and couch were quite worn. The fake leather had rubbed off, and it wasn’t worth recovering them.

Trying to cover worn RV “leather” recliner.

How do you keep fake leather from wearing off?

On 7/6/2018 my husband, Richard, got the old chair out. And my son, Matt, got the couch out.

Getting the couch (which by the way, was supposed to be a fold out or jack-knife couch bed, but wasn’t), out of the slide—wasn’t an easy job.

Son removing RV couch
Getting to the bottom of the RV couch.

It feels so much larger in here now. Just waiting on the new la-z-boy chairs to arrive!

There was 8 years of dust/dirt/whatever on the carpet by the small window.

This is no fold out RV bed.
A queen size air mattress had came with the RV, but the manufacturer must have meant for it to go on the floor because this couch wasn’t big enough to put it on it in any way! We never made the dealer show us how it worked either (at time of walk through or delivery). Our fault. We had asked the salesman but he didn’t know how it worked (because it didn’t)!

Once the couch was out, I could see the light dusting of mold on one wall by the fridge! It had been impossible to clean between the couch and the fridge. I wiped the walls down. No more mold!

At first, we thought one of our doggies had thrown up or something, but to get it all the way under the couch?!? So bizzare! We tested it and found it was furniture STAIN! Apparently, our RV manufacturer spilled the stain and thought the couch would cover it up!

Cabinet stain on the carpet under where the couch was—manufacturer had covered it up and no one told us!
Floor plan of our RV

This is the floor plan of our RV, except ours has a king size bed in the bedroom. It had plenty of room for us and two small shih-tzu’s. Our doggies were older when we bought this and only lived in it with us for about 3 years, sadly. But we continued living in the RV for more than 11 years. The last 17 months of that time, we lived off grid. More about that experience here and here.

All I can say about buying an RV is, buyer beware. I have had buyers remorse for many years over this RV, though I had grown quite fond of it.

First, the refrigerator had a recall on it, then the automatic transfer switch melted down and could have killed us! Read about that here.

When you know more, you can make much better choices.

2021: Review of a CrAzY, Transformative, Aligning Year

2021 Year in Review: CrAzY, Transformative, and Aligning

Maybe I lost my mind this year, but they say you have to lose things sometimes, to FIND them. Right? (I’m hearing Eminem’s song, Lose Yourself, in my head as I write this!)

2021 has been ridiculous for me in many ways. But I’m still here! Dammit! Haha! No. Bless it!

God bless it! Omniscience bless it.

In fact, Omniscience blesses it ALL. Every single one of us. ALL the time. And in ALL ways! Even the shitty ways. Really.

Physically, we moved again. But it wasn’t planned.

I had planned to live in our beautiful $100k+ RV 5th wheel for the rest of my life! But the emotional rollercoaster we’d been living in the woods for 17 months, finally got the best of us.

So, hubby and I left for a month away, and during the course of that “vacation,” we rented a condo for a year! But more on that in a few minutes.

COVID-19 has continued to ravage many of us—if not physically, then socially, financially, psychologically, and emotionally—sadly.

If you haven’t had it, someone you know has, or thought they have, or been told they have… the fear, distrust, mass psychosis, misinformation, disinformation, judgmental attitudes, lockdowns, etc. all taking a toll on us, individually and collectively. Ugh!

It seems all too much now!

The fear porn over an unseen virus has heightened to fever pitch levels to the point of censorship, job loss, businesses going bankrupt, people falling into depression, losing their sanity, friendships ending, relationships suffering, divorce, and even death!

But we’re supposed to be saving people’s lives!

Mind-blowing shit emoji

We (as in everyone) were supposed to get a vaccine in 2021 that could end the COVID nightmare and get us all back to “normal.” Yeah, right. (I never expected a thoroughly tested vax that fast anyway, nor would I have been one to get it first. That’s totally what I’m NOT about, and NOT who I am. I am all about doing things the natural way.)

And NOW, I think for many of us, those vaccines coming out so quickly, only made things worse!

We now find ourselves in a fight for our #HealthFreedom – and we aren’t in the majority yet, which baffles me!

Minding My Energy became a cosmic joke—played on ME! (I created this design in 2019, way before I knew I would have to literally manage my energy when we moved “off grid” AND now, I really have to manage my energy to hold my shit together!)

Packing it up

We packed it up and moved out. Yes, after 11 years in our RV and 17 months off grid, I’ve let go of something else—my home.

Our 5th wheel home parked under the canopy of Live Oak trees, Hollister Florida. It’s now for sale—with or without to 11 solar panels, lithium batteries, inverter, and gas generators.

We took all our “prepper” know-how and stuff and moved back to town.

I feel defeated. Guilty. Sad. Like a failure. I also feel mad when I see how much money we threw away on trying to live off grid! (About $25k)

The RV, wood shed that stores the batteries, inverter and power supply, and 2 moveable solar panels (not shown are 9 more mounted solar panels.)
Solar Electronics, batteries are underneath.

Life’s for Learning

I continue to work on myself (and coach an elder friend, one-on-one, through my Integrated Spiral DE-program), but between job interviews, moving (as noted below), and ultimately changing roles with my employer, I have had to make time to:

  • Take care of myself and my husband
  • Clean mold off everything, pack, move it by the car load, reorganize it (5 car loads = 5 trips back and forth. 3 hours each way.)
  • Talk with my daughter and son
  • Video chat with my oldest granddaughter, who graciously includes the twins in the calls sometimes too (and I miss them all sooo much)
  • Catch up with much loved extended family (I have less of them now, as one of my aunts passed a few weeks ago)
  • Talk with / visit friends
  • Walk
  • Take online classes (both for work and for my personal growth & sanity)
  • Take Pilates classes (but had to quit after they changed their rules)
  • Read (5 books in progress)
  • Create courses (created one during 2 weeks off in August: Communing with Trees)
  • Market Richard Murrey original music
  • Continue writing my metaphysical novel

I have had no time to adequately market Integrated Spiral™—yet these are exactly the times when I know people need the relief and open awareness it brings!

Join me and 3 others in a small-group DE-program group that meets on Zoom each week (new groups form monthly!)

I barely have time to tweet about our original NEW music!

No travel plans

Travel that had been planned for 2020 has either been completely cancelled now, or indefinitely postponed:

  • Alania’s Gainesville retreat (prepaid)
  • Particular “soul type” retreat that I won’t name—Held in Oct 2021, rescheduled from 2020, but with such restrictions that I canceled. Unbeknownst to me, my cancellation and one post about it, stirred up a lot of angst and cost me “friendships.” Ugh! Huge waste of time.
  • 40th High School reunion (They had rescheduled it, but I chose not to go, as I would have had to drive myself)
  • Trip to my home state to lay my parent’s remains to rest (which was to occur the week I went home for my HS reunion—I guess there’s no rush. Ugh!)

Family comes to Florida

We were happy to get to see my husband’s sister, Rose, and her husband this year again, as they enjoy (yes, IN Joy), driving around the country towing their 5th wheel behind their pickup truck. And I am glad they like traveling like that, (as I can relate—I towed a travel trailer years ago and didn’t like the towing experience).

We also got to see one of hubby’s brothers, Bill! He stayed in my son’s tiny house and helped me take some drawers out of a cabinet in our RV. Bill is an expert woodworker. Actually, so is Alan, my sis-in-law’s hubby—he made us a beautiful trivet, out of wine corks and stained wood.

Hair Growth

My hair has grown quite a lot in a year.

So much so, that before we knew we would move, my son gave me an undercut:

My undercut (haircut/shave by my son).
Undercut side view. My hair is so thick and this cut helped me stay cool.

Dental work

I’m still missing my front tooth.

Insert song in your head here, All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth. LOL You can’t get it out of your head, can you? Haha! Pun intended.

I make a good pirate with my missing tooth though, right? Pic of me and my granddaughter using a fun pirate filter on Google Duo.

I won’t go into it all, but suffice to say after spending another $5k on my teeth in September/October and by December, experiencing a toothache from one of the three new crowns—dentures are in my near future!

If you know an excellent and thoroughly trustworthy holistic dentist, in the Bradenton Florida area, let me know!

Gulfport: Making new friends

When we reached our mental breaking point in the woods, hubby found an AirBnB in the Gulfport area of St. Petersburg Florida.

And since we had not been out much in 17 months, we really enjoyed walking to the Main Street area to the popular nearby restaurants.

Hubby Richard created several digital pieces of art while we were in Gulfport, FL. ❤️😉

One restaurant, I had previously loved when we used to live in Palmetto and would come here occasionally, let us down on our first day out! Not enough help. Too busy. Breakfast was cold when it showed up. And two loudmouth guys wouldn’t shut up the whole time we sat there.

I was beginning to think we had made a mistake coming to Gulfport.

But then, we tried the Irish pub one afternoon for dinner and it fast became our hangout! Live music everyday and friendly staff, musicians, and patrons!

Loved the fish and cucumber salad at the Irish pub!

Our early evenings at the pub almost made me forget about the plandemic for a minute!

I got to meet one of the gals whom I had met on Clubhouse (and was supposed to meet in person at a particular soul type retreat), and we had a great time!

Enjoying time with her really helped me heal the hurt I had felt over all that had transpired from me simply choosing not to attend the retreat (and posting that information on Facebook—without tagging, or directly naming the event and its organizers). I had sought only to inform my friends, but some took it personally anyway. (That’s on them.)

I chose not to play their game (I simply canceled my hotel reservation and said, “No”—but oh, some people can’t hear that word)!

Speaking of Clubhouse, I joined, got fairly involved, brought a few others in, learned a lot, and gave even more, and QUIT all within a year. (Mostly due to my own time management and because there seemed to be a lot of scammers showing up on there!)

And speaking, or rather writing, about small businesses, yes, I continue to support many holistic health and other small businesses—more on that here.

Hubby working at our computer while I worked on my laptop, in the AirBnB

As for our little efficiency duplex AirBnB rental unit in Gulfport, we would go back! It was quiet and clean. And very close to the Main Street area and marina. Though I worked 2 weeks, and only took 2 weeks off (to create the Communing with Trees course and clear out 200+ notes from my Notepad app), we enjoyed our time in Gulfport WITH hot water and ELECTRICITY very much!

Honoring the Sacred Past

I feel the Winter Solstice that didn’t shine sunbeams into the Newgrange chamber in Ireland December 2019, was meant to warn me of the tumultuous years ahead. And that I would continue to integrate my shadow self this year as I began this task last year. Apparently, it is ongoing work. ☯️

Somehow I feel the Live Oak trees in Hollister told the Banyan and Palm trees in Bradenton that I was coming, because after our current rental home (a one bedroom single story condo) fell into our proverbial laps, by way of a friend, I found myself surrounded by trees! And in the city?!? Go figure!

I discovered this amazing and huge Banyan tree in our 55+ community by getting out and walking everyday! You can’t possibly know how thrilled I was to find it!

Banyan tree, Bradenton FL

Celebrating Family

After 5 drives back to the woods to pack more belongings into our car, it was Thanksgiving, which I also call, Thanksliving time.

Aaron and Abby had us over for a grand Thanksgiving feast—even better than last year! Aaron’s turkey was the best!

We just brought two pies (from Fresh Market in Bradenton), as our easy contribution! And my son’s girlfriend, Rachael, arrived in time to spend the last hour of our visit with us (as she had spent Thanksgiving with her kids). Family. By blood or by choice—either way, find some. What else is life for?

Online classes

Because we are limiting our time out of the house, I’ve had more time to participate in online groups and programs. I’ll share a few next:

The Green Smoothie Girl

As well, I continued making shakes for breakfast and lunch with protein powder from The Green Smoothie Girl.

The first time around, I enjoyed doing this fasting type cleanse with my daughter, which helped me mentally, as I had felt down because we couldn’t visit in 2020-2021. Doing this detox together was emotionally supportive and a bit fun!

I highly recommend Robyn’s products.

I buy the protein powder in the big bag now. I also think the flax is amazing too.

The Sacred Science

I started the year with a course from The Sacred Science called, Inner Alchemy. It was very deep and healing.

Screen capture from the home page of the course: Inner Alchemy by The Sacred Science.

I spent several months watching the videos and doing the homework in this course, about the same time I signed up for Dr. Joe’s offering, so it took me awhile to complete. And I highly recommend both.

I learned new tips and gained insights into my Self that brought more peace and appreciation into each of my days. (And I can get “in a mood” with the best—or worst—of them, so to speak.)

In humility, I am always working on my Self.

Dr. Joe Dispenza

Screen capture of heading in Dr. Joe Dispenza’s app: The Formula.

I got through all Dr. Joe’s videos fairly fast, but then it came time to do the daily meditations. Hmm.

I love to meditate, but something in this course got me stuck. Was it Dr. Joe’s pace? His vocal tone (which differs from his speaking voice)? I don’t know. But I will return to the meditations at some point.

NES Infoceuticals

I abSOULutely resonate with so much of the information in Harry Massey’s book, Decoding the Human Body-Field: The New Science of Information as Medicine.

After 3 weeks of dealing with a cold/flu bug a few weeks ago, I called my NES Health practitioner and got some Infoceuticals. After the first dose I felt 50% better! They are amazing!

If you get through everything else and still feel poorly, or want to see what else you can do to improve your health energetically, then I highly recommend reaching out to a NES practitioner:

https://www.neshealth.com/en/infoceuticals/

New Music

Hubby and I continue to work on showcasing his original new music—getting it out to more musicians who play Live. And we’re working with a new distributor to get the songs on all the major music platforms:

  • Amazon Music
  • iTunes / Apple Music (link below)
  • Spotify
  • Deezer
  • N1M
  • YouTube

And Richard has created new visuals for each of his songs, to be played on a screen behind the musicians or online, etc.

Here’s the link to our new music for Apple listeners:

I know with his genius talent and experience, plus, my tenacity and perseverance (not to mention my co-creative and positive outlook), we can reach far and wide.

Can you dig it?!?

I setup a new website: MurreyCreations.com this year and a shopping site, so there are more ways to reach us.

Missing my girls

I am still missing seeing my girls… my daughter and granddaughters in New Hampshire. Dammit! No. Omniscience BLESS it! I know things can change!

I miss my girls sooo much! I look at the pictures and videos from our last time together, and have to quickly dry my tears when we Google Duo video chat because I see how much they’ve grown and how much time as passed! Oh, how much I have missed due to some unseen virus!

I work my DE-program though, and know that’s MY issue to clear and release. To heal. And perhaps as I heal myself, I heal others. I don’t know, but it’s a nice and very FREEING thought!

How woo-woo are you?

Are you woo-woo?

No, woo-woo isn’t about Halloween stuff, or things that go bump in the night. At least not necessarily.

Remember there’s no “dark switch,” as Abraham-Hicks says. The light is always there.

Most of us are simply living in the shadow (or observing shadows) because we’re blocking the light. Yes, our Ego (our self acknowledged human) is in our own way, blocking the Light.

Truth / Wisdom Seeker

One can spend their entire life truth seeking, yet still, with so many subjects (and rabbit holes), can Truth ever really be found?

I simply observe Nature. And I observe myself. Then, I observe myself in relationship with others.

I think Nature can answer most (if not all), of our important questions.

Here are just a few examples of things I have looked into:

Truth in Sacred texts

The Holy Bible says, “To everything turn, turn, turn.”

From an early age, I thought this meant to keep turning the pages of books, or of my life.

Now, I read it to understand that I am allowed and encouraged to TURN (and keep on turning) to what FEEDS my soul (FEELS good to me)!

The Bible states,

“Lean not unto your own understanding.”

And

“Study to show thyself approved.”

On the surface, these two statements seem to be contradictory teachings.

But to whom were the messages given to? At what time? And for what purpose?

This is why Context is so important. It is also why we are called not to judge (though we are called to be discerning, which is different than judging), because we can never truly know a person or what all they’ve been through.

Is there Truth in Life Experiences?

Look at Light as it comes though a rainbow to display different colors. Is the Light not coming from the same source?

I use the analogy of a mirror ball to illustrate how we can’t ever see the WHOLE from one perspective.

All points of view are included in the WHOLE.

When we disagree with someone, it’s usually because their perspective is 180 degrees different from ours! You just can’t understand their point of view when you’re not seeing things from their perspective.

I won’t ever nullify anyone’s personal life experience. Why would I?

“We don’t have a control language for totality. Command the image of totality.” Terence McKenna.

Truth in Archeology?

Perhaps if we look to the Earth, and hard sciences like Archeology, we can get at the truth.

I love watching shows like, Ancient Aliens.

Research Gobekli Tepe and you’ll learn its one of the oldest civilizations found to date. It even predates Stonehenge!

And to think, when I was growing up, I had been taught the world was only 6,000 years old! (People wonder why kids ask questions about religion.)

Truth in Politics?

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams, Founding Father and 2nd US President

If we aren’t moral and religious, then what?

I hear lies from ALL. There. I said it.

Hitler belonged to the political German Workers‘ Party, that later changed its name to the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, otherwise known as the Nazi party.

Just pointing out the obvious here: “Workers” and “Socialism.” We all know how Hitler’s story ended. Why does it seem we’re going down THAT road again?

I never thought I’d see a tyrannical government in America in my lifetime, but alas, here were are. I’ve said for years that we don’t really live in a FREE country, but damn, I didn’t think I would lose the freedom of speech!

Truth in Past Lives?

Maybe if we look backwards even further, we can gain some additional insights? This takes willingness, courage, and humility to look WITHIN.

Some say Saddam Hussein thought he had been Nebuchadnezzar and King Nimrod (tower of Babel builder) in former lives. He had his image put on a coin with Nebuchadnezzar’s face and had been building a new Tower of Babel!

The more things change, the more they stay the same. As the spiral expands though, I hope for more wisdom and compassion to accrue.

I continue to look within.

Deep Thinker

There’s sooo much to learn!

Obviously, I am a deep thinker. Are you?

Do you meditate? Star gaze? Day dream? Can’t sleep once a question enters your mind?

This is one of the reasons I have loved The Logical Song by Supertramp since I first heard it as a teen!

Lightworker

I witness the power of the divine flame to burn what isn’t necessary and clear another path forward.

Light isn’t just what is emitted from a bulb or candle. The human body emits light too!

When you walk into a dark room after having shut off a bright light, it takes a couple minutes for your eyes to adjust. Think about it.

Maybe that’s why that whole “count to 10” thing works (to help us regain emotional control) when we are mad?

I have always wanted to know where electricity comes from. Energy intrigues me.

Remember FAITH is a SUBSTANCE of what is hoped for. It’s real. Pray knowing that.

We’re off to see the wizard, as the song says!

❤️🦋🌀🎼〰️🔥🙏☯️

Witchy

Well, this is a deep subject, isn’t it?

Good or bad. Dark or light.

I have come to see the many ways, over the centuries, how this label has been misused. And innocent people have died because of it.

Sit down with someone who is knowledgeable on the subject of witchery and you may be quite surprised to learn the many mistruths we’ve been taught over the years.

I have learned and absorbed much from visiting sacred sites, such as Stonehenge, Newgrange, Knowth, the Yew tree at Rosslyn, Fairy Glen spiral, and the Witches Well (Edinburgh, Scotland). Certainly, I became aware and attuned to strong connections with Gaia from having had those experiences.

I don’t think observing, respecting, and working with nature, sitting or walking in nature, gazing at crystals, gazing at the moon and stars, enjoying a predawn walk, hugging trees, sitting in circle, pouring libations, praying, singing, chanting, drawing sacred geometry geometry, setting annual intentions, writing or speaking from Spirit, or making tinctures makes me a witch. But, eh, whatever! LOL

Perhaps we can broaden the definition of the label, or better yet, drop it altogether.

As I explained to my 10 year old granddaughter one night while discussing the difference between religions (including the dark arts), if anyone hurts someone, it doesn’t matter what label they have, that’s where I set my boundaries—no one can hurt another on my watch.

I have written on this previously too. Suffice now to say, any religion can have within it, those practicing dark arts.

Shaman

I see shamanic work as that of raising shadow into light, balancing the yin and yang, or getting back in touch with our earthly nature. I don’t think shamanism is woo woo at all.

And after living in an RV full-time for 11 years and Off Grid for 17 months, I got back to my roots.

I teach Integrated Spiral™ courses because they have grown me into WHOLENESS!

Spiritual

If you are breathing, you’re Spiritual (in my book).

Yoke with. Breathe with. Spirit. Every day.

Spirit or Presence would simply love your acknowledgment. But Spirit will go on and be fine without your acknowledgement too.

Spirit doesn’t need you. As the glorious sunshine doesn’t need you. You’re nice and all, but remember your place and who’s been here longer.

The Presence of God IS Everywhere. ❤️🦋🌀〰️

Enlightened

I love to listen to Russell Brand, Sadhguru, Rev Michael Bernard Beckwith, Zach Bush, Brian Rose, Dr Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Maryanne Williamson, and those leaders who can look and value ALL perspectives.

Change your perspective and find meaning in joy in your current task.

Even monks go grocery shopping. Sweep floors. Wash laundry. And bathe. They just do all these tasks, prayerfully. Always aware of the Spirit that transcends.

When I was a child, I never could have imagined the number of mystical teachers I would have, or even have access to, in my life. And I am profoundly grateful.

I imagined having a picture phone, but never having an Internet. Thank Omniscience for these tools though, so I can stay Connected with my granddaughters, my daughter, son, and ALL of you (who have chosen to Connect with me).

I will always stand for Freedom and Free Will (Choice).

If you want to learn HOW we can change our perspectives to live in more Balance and harmony, check out my Integrated Spiral DE-program.

Amen. Namaste. OM

Off Grid RV: Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons of Off Grid RV Living

Why are we calling it quits after 17 months in the woods?

Read on. It really comes down to sustainability. Our mental and physical sustainability.

Compare and Contrast

Pros

Through sheer will, I’ve been able to turn most of the things that challenged me, into transformative processes! And there have been good times.

  • I walked barefoot in the beach sand of the country road. (This grounded me and eased lonely feelings.)
  • I developed and committed to a daily Gratitude process, that I codified into Integrated Spiral.
  • I loved communing with the grandmother tree on the property and gaining resilience from her.
  • I enjoyed stargazing and looking at the moon on clear nights and dancing outside.
  • We enjoyed hanging out with My son, his girlfriend, and our neighbors.
  • I loved grilling food outside on my son’s Cuisinart propane grill
  • I perfected pan frying frozen salmon and tuna on a gas stove!
  • I loved the sounds of nature.
  • I loved watching the birds, bats, dragonflies, and butterflies.
  • I loved planting herbs and trees. And putting in a garden. My herbs and trees grew well.
  • I enjoyed sitting in a 3 foot deep pool on a hot day with a cold adult beverage in hand.

Cons

  • Generating enough power. I could write a book on generators now. I’m not kidding! And even though we live innthe sunshine state, we didn’t get enough sun on our solar panels to meet our needs.
  • We did use less. We turned off our RV refrigerator and bought a dorm size fridge. Used our microwave for only 30 seconds at a time, eventually quit using it after my son tried using it for 6 minutes (after we had installed a new inverter and new lithium batteries and knocked out our power—it was never quite right after that).
  • We did without our electric fireplace, which we always loved. It used too much power. My son put in a small propane buddy heater to resolve our heating needs in the winter, and that worked well.
  • We couldn’t run our built in RV vacuum. It used too much power.
  • We tried living the first few months without air conditioning. I couldn’t work (with sweat running from my armpits), and do all I was doing without AC. We had to run one dedicated generator (turning it on/off several times a day) to maintain a comfortable temp and humidity. My son had to direct wire it.
  • Speaking of my son, we had to rely on him for any handy work that had to be done. No RV tech, electrician or such would come to the country or come out during COVID.
  • Speaking of humidity, we had to deal with mold inside the RV. We removed all the cabinet doors and ran two or three small fans and two dehumidifiers to establish proper air flow and ventilation.
  • Bugs. The county doesn’t spray for mosquitoes, which is also good (reduces our toxic load), provides food for lizards, bats, etc. But we can’t step out our door without something biting us. And even while taking a shower outside in the bathhouse, we swat a few bugs away—and duck when a mama bird chose to build a nest in there!
  • Speaking of critters, we only saw one snake, but thought we heard sasquatch one night! Though that inspired a song!
  • Falling tree limbs. Yes, falling trees and branches have killed people! Enough said.
  • Our vegetable garden failed. First year it was too hot or we planted too late. Second year it rained too much.
Why are we calling it quits?

Irony

I didn’t want to pay $500 a month for RV park lot rent (that included $100 worth of electricity per month), because the park had raised its monthly rent $50 a month each year we’d lived there, and we had no amenities.

YET, after moving to the country (to my son’s property), we spent $25k+ on solar setup to live rent free Off Grid. AND after 17 months of that (mentally and physically challenging time), we are now (about to be) paying $1000 a month, plus electricity, for a 1 bedroom apartment! Hahahaha!!!

The only difference is that we’ve never lived in a 55+ community before! Hope we’ll like it!

Green Acres

Get back to Nature they said. It will be fun they said! Life showed me what a bitch it could be!

Given all the Pros detailed above, here’s the thing: Life is unsustainable. All good things must come to an end. Bodies eventually get old and tired. And though this unique (yet old and basic) lifestyle seems like it would be fun, exciting, and glamorous—it takes W-O-R-K. A whole lotta work!

And after living on grid all our lives, we’re lazy and spoiled. And that’s okay!

March 2020, I wrote:
https://sheilamurrey.net/2020/03/31/were-livin-off-grid/

Learning from the trees

As Roger Miller famously sings, “You can’t roller skate in a buffalo herd.” And apparently, we can’t get enough sun on solar panels in the woods.

Yet, I continue to meditate upon what I’ve learned. This experience has bared me to my soul. I can stand strong in my power, determining with wisdom, what I can and cannot change.

Perhaps you noticed I had 11 Pros and 11 Cons to Off Grid RV living in my lists above. Choosing to stay or go really comes down to the deal breakers, and how much we are willing to put up with.

When an available apartment figuratively, fell into our laps, we felt it was the right move to make. After all, Everything in life is temporary, so why not rent?

Life is good, and God is good—ALL the time.

Be the change: Support small businesses

Supporting small businesses

This is really the crux of it, No one should be worked to death so billionaires, bankers, insurance companies, lawyers, shareholders and government can profit from other people’s labour. Period.

That’s the real pyramid scheme.

I inherently believe things must change.

The arguments I always hear when discussing this topic, is that the billionaires deserve to reap rewards for the risk they took to start the business; investors deserve to receive usury on the investment capital they put in to get the business going; banks deserve to profit from the startup capital loans they risked; founders deserve to be rewarded for their creative ideas and vision, etc.

I want things to be fair and kind, but capitalism sure doesn’t seem setup that way.

What to do?

Vote with your dollars!

Support businesses that create, work, and live by the same principles you follow.

Here are some examples:

Where do you shop?

I love helping small businesses grow. I shop local and bank online with Aspiration because I like a bank with a conscious that doesn’t support big oil.

I vote with my dollars and support businesses that are co-operatives (co-ops), employee-owned, etc. I stopped knowingly buying anything (or giving to charities) where CEOs were getting offensively rich. ❤️🦋🌀🙏☯️
