The health benefits after a year on the ASEA Redox supplement

A year on ASEA Redox

In my new book, Take It Upon Yourself to Live a Wholly Vibrant Life, I offer information on myriad holistic health and wellness modalities to those suffering from chronic ills.
The big blue bottle (read more here and here) that first attracted me to ASEA, came my way just as I was completing the book. We tried it not expecting much, but my husband and I both stayed on the ASEA Redox Signaling supplement–and will stay on it–because we have and continue to experience an array of incredible health benefits.
From the second night, I fell asleep quickly and slept deeper than I had in years–all night long.
Issues I’d had with two teeth have improved.
The allergies, or allergic reactions, that I’ve had most of my life have dramatically lessened. Case in point: I stayed six nights in my daughter’s 100 year old house in New Hampshire (August 2019) that I couldn’t be in for more than a few hours a year ago due to my allergies. This was #TheBest benefit ever, as my 7 year old sweetie pie granddaughter loves having sleepovers–and I got to sleep in her room on an air mattress next to her bed!

Since taking ASEA and using Renew28, my heartbeat is stronger, as validated by my chiropractor kinesiologist. Before ASEA, she had found my heartbeat was irregular and a bit weak (via a heart listener machine that displayed results on a monitor).

I’ve now flown 9 times this year, when previously I couldn’t fly more than twice a year (and I had to put at least a week or month in between those two flights) without my ankles swelling, or becoming ill afterwards.
I’ve not been sick at all this year–no colds, flu–nothing!
I actually do not think I would have even considered flying to Europe had I not been taking ASEA. That’s how amazed I am with my new found level of health in this last year.
My husband’s back (from doing manual labor at work), is no longer sore or painful. I know one wouldn’t know that a graphics artist has to do manual labor, but he has to–he and his team. He creates the artworks, then trims, mounts, and installs (sometimes huge) items. And he just turned 69, so it’s a lot of stress on his body!

What’s in the bottle?

The liquid in the ASEA bottle is a breakthrough science. Beginning with purified water, ASEA adds salt and puts the the water through a proprietary electrical process that stabilizes the molecules (the redox cell signaling molecules, which are NATIVE to the body) and what comes out is a patented and scientifically studied supplement. When I say the word, NATIVE, that’s what’s important. Native means these cells already exist in the human body.
This is a non-toxic supplement. There are no contraindications with medications.
ASEA Redox simply allows us all to drink something that puts the molecules which are already IN our bodies, but that with time we lose, BACK into our bodies!

Drinking ASEA Redox is sooo easy.
We keep a case (which is 4, 32 ounce bottles as shown here) in our pantry and one of the 32oz bottles in the fridge for daily consumption.
We now also, put some ASEA liquid in a little spray bottle! We spray some on our face, in our eyes, up our nose, and on any sore spots–and my husband is always thrilled when he gets immediate relief.

Renew 28 gel works!

As I’ve written about previously, I was astounded how much I could feel after only one application of the gel! And because I had put it on my neck, I could feel my heart beating a little faster. Thus, I knew this was doing something and excited to experience MORE!
After about three months of applying Renew 28 gel on my face each morning, I began to notice that two different kinds of moles on my face lightened and had gotten smaller (one is nearly gone now)!
At dinner one night recently, a friend tried it on her TMJ sore points and was amazed at how quickly her pain subsided.
On my flight to the ASEA convention a few days ago, I sat beside a nurse who happened to work for Sea World. She had a slight issue with one hand and I offered her a Renew 28 sample to put on it. When I turned around, she’d also put it on her neck and then moments later exclaimed, “I feel this working”!
The Renew 28 gel helped when we hiked 67 miles in 18 days in Europe in July 2019, and we had only taken carryon luggage (thus we couldn’t take our 32oz bottle of liquid with us). We simply rubbed the Renew 28 gel on our legs, ankles, and knees in order to ease the sore muscles and keep on walking!

Most people start drinking ASEA daily (2 ounces in the morning and 2 ounces in the evening), I haven’t heard my husband complain about his back at all after we doubled his dose in February 2019 (6 months after starting the product).

Every human is different and will experience different results. The benefits outlined in this article are true for myself and my husband.

Delicious gluten-free, sugar-free, high fiber mug muffin recipe

If you’ve been doing Keto or Paleo for awhile (or any of the grain free, gluten-free, and sugar-free diets), I really think you’re going to love this EASY and delicious muffin recipe! I know I’m madly in love with it.

Missing bread, cake, or dessert?

I really believe I have found my answer to cake and bread! I’d been missing it after not eating cake or bread in a year. Now, by adding this muffin to my one meal a day, I feel full, I’ve increased my daily fiber intake, and I’m experiencing better (easier) BMs–a real win-win in my humble opinion!

The ingredients

Note: T = Tablespoon and t = teaspoon.

Dry ingredients 

1 T coconut flour or Amaranth flour
1 T nut flour
1 T oat bran
2 t Ceylon cinnamon (helps to regulate blood sugar)
1/2 t baking powder

Wet ingredients

1/2 T wet chia seed, or soaked & ground flaxseed, or 1 T pulp from making nut milk, or pumpkin, peanut butter, chopped pear, or apple butter
1 raw egg (jumbo size works best to turnout a fluffier muffin)
1/2 t vanilla
Splash of water (especially if you’re using a regular sized egg)
Topping after the muffin is cooked
1 T butter, or hard coconut oil, or yogurt (helps you get more healthy fat into your diet)

How to mix it

You can mix the dry ingredients in a bowl first and set aside. Or you can add them two at a time and stir in the same mug used to whisk the wet ingredients.
In your mug, whisk the raw egg in the mug and add other wet ingredients. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients to the mug and mix well. A thick batter consistency is what you want to see. (If the mix is too dry or sticky, the muffin will be dry.) This is the art involved in making an aWEsOMe muffin–and totally worth playing around with!
Place mug (uncovered) in the microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes. (The time may vary depending on the strength of your microwave. My daughter has a new Whirlpool microwave and 1 minute 35 seconds is perfect!)
The muffin will rise above the mug. This is fine. Let it cook. When the oven stops cooking, the muffin will decompress in the mug.
Use a spoon or butter knife to remove the muffin from the mug. Slice the muffin in half lengthwise to add topping and enjoy. (My husband and I share one of these after our dinner and it’s such a treat!)
All ingredients organic, free range, etc.

30 calories per Tablespoon

Fiber 2.5 grams per Tablespoon
Sugar 1.5 grams per Tablespoon
Protein 1.5 grams per Tablespoon

Oat bran

About 28 calories per Tablespoon
Fiber 1.3 grams per Tablespoon
Sugar nearly 0 grams per Tablespoon
Protein 1.3 grams per Tablespoon

Chia seed

30 calories per 1/2 Tablespoon
Fiber 2 grams per 1/2 Tablespoon
Sugar 0 grams per 1/2 Tablespoon
Protein 1 gram per 1/2 Tablespoon

Egg

75-90 calories one large/jumbo size
Protein 6 grams

Pumpkin (canned)

6.25 calories per Tablespoon
Fiber .375 grams per Tablespoon
Sugar .5 grams per Tablespoon
Protein .25 grams per Tablespoon
Total calories
Depending upon whether you add chopped pear, apple butter, peanut butter, pumpkin, cacao, or other the nutritional values will differ.
The basic mug muffin will be about 178-180, with 6 grams fiber, 2 grams sugar, and 10 grams protein. Since I’m following a modified Keto diet, I don’t count the fat grams.

Yes, I bought my coconut flour from the cold case at Ionie’s Cafe in Sarasota, Florida. (It keeps for a long time in the fridge too!). And if you’d like, check out this post I wrote about Ionie’s here.
The other brand of coconut flour we tried was Bob’s Red Mill, and it does add a coconut flavor to the muffin if you don’t use another flour to offset it.
And the brand of eggs I’ve been buying–yes, it probably has something to do with the name 😉

Experiment with it

I’ve been experimenting with this muffin recipe and adding peanut butter, pumpkin, or raw cacao in place of the Ceylon cinnamon. I’ve tried apple pie spice instead of the cinnamon, but the point for me was to really use this muffin as a way to reduce my overall blood sugar.  If that’s your goal too, you could use 1 T of the Ceylon cinnamon and 1 T of the apple pie spice–and see if you can taste the difference. (I can’t).

Initially, the muffins I had been making were very fluffy. Even the ones I created BEFORE using the Baking Powder. I think I was using 2 T of flour at the beginning though, 1 was coconut flour and the other was Amaranth flour. Also, I had used a jumbo sized egg.

I’ve used a tablespoon of chopped fresh pear (or apple butter) as an addition and it made an even fluffier (and larger) moist muffin. (I tried a green apple, but preferred the pear or apple butter instead–if you go with the pear it adds more fiber too!) I doubt there’s any limit of what you can do with this.

Some of the health benefits

I had been looking for a way to incorporate oat bran into my diet (since going grain-free over a year ago), because I realized I needed the health benefits of fiber. Namely, fiber is necessary to do a good detox (detoxify the body), and ease a bowel movements (BM). Simply adding this muffin once a day made my BMs more productive. I am still surprised at the difference it made–and how quick the change occurred!

Whatever works – Fascia Blasting

Ashley Black’s Fascia Blasting Products

First, I have been fascia blasting for a little over two weeks as of this writing. (Stay tuned for updates.)

For those who have read my blogs for any length of time, or my books, (in particular, Take It Upon Yourself to Live a Wholly Vibrant Life!) you know that I say do whatever works for you (no matter what others tell you. And I apply that philosophy not only to food, but exercise, spirituality, relationships, and so on. If it works for you, why let the judgments of others cause you a moment of angst?

Why the negativity?

I’ve had two female friends tell me they “heard” negative stuff about fascia blasting when I mentioned I was doing it. I didn’t answer either of them. I love blasting and have seen and felt results in only two weeks!!! (Pics to come later).

I don’t even know why I mentioned it to either gal though, because this was just something I was drawn to do during a very emotional time–not as something to blog about.

I am in a private Facebook group (FasciaBlasters for Women) about fascia blasting and I realize people can misuse these devices, as well, some people with certain limitations and issues shouldn’t use them. But one needs to read Ashley’s book and use good sense. I am learning so much in the group about how to use these products. It’s very encouraging!

Emotional ease & focus

Mostly, blasting has helped me focus on my body and ease me through the grief process of losing my dad a few weeks ago.

You see, my dad passed away unexpectedly and as though that wasn’t bad enough, I am his sole heir and administrator of his estate.

After only recently completing my book, I knew from writing it that I didn’t want to fall into depression. And one way to stay upbeat while going through a life change is to exercise. But, that’s a weak area for me.

So, I ordered something new (Ashley’s fascia blaster kit) to help myself, and potentially help ease my husband’s back pain (from overuse at work).

I didn’t notice much the first few days on my skin (except some bruising as the book says can occur) after blasting, but I did feel more energized and positive, and my husband said his back tension eased after I worked on his back the first day! So, I kept on using it.

Within two weeks, my skin on my arms, legs, and abdomen was noticeably smoother and less cellulite “bumpy” looking. I didn’t take “before” pictures, because I really didn’t expect to write about this, since it is sooo personal.

After you get what you want

After you get what you want

What happens after you get everything in life that you think you want?

What happens then, and what IS this life about?

Desiring

Every moment we desire something. We desire warmth, safety, deeper connections. Oh, you thought I was going to say we want to be happy! Ha! But what if the “pursuit of happiness” was simply the equivalent of a mouse on a wheel? What if we just want to fulfill each of our desires, when we desire them? Nah! That would be too easy, and we’d all be fat and lazy. Where’s the fun in that? (I think most of us want to do it our way.)

So, in this blog I’ve talked a lot about how we can live a vibrant life. Get healthy, connect, and let go of stuff (unless it’s something IMHO we can use to increase our level of health and wellness). I guess you can see the irony in that and what I am about to state next.

I have been following Chris Cade for many years. Oh, I never bought his book or bought anything from him, but I read his emails every day, for YEARS!

Learning

I’ve sat with gurus, coaches, doctors, and mentors, who taught me many things about health and wellness, meditation, business, longevity, technology, personal development and spirituality, and learned much in the ways to boost my knowledge and confidence. What I learned enhanced and improved my overall sense of emotional balance and well-being.

As well, I’ve bought other books from authors such as Eckart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsch, Louise Hay, and Wayne Dyer about the value of being in the present moment and releasing judgement and “ego.” But, when I listened to Chris’ video about the books that changed his life, some new building block tapped into place with me.

Sharing

I learned from great ones, and the wisdom I impart is because I stand on their shoulders. I’ve given credit (on my blog home page and in my book) to most, if not all, of those who I have learned from, but I have not always supported them financially (because I think I’m so smart–which is another lie of the ego).

Therefore, I am eager and thrilled to report that I am now a monthly Patreon supporter of Chris Cade’s work. And it makes me feel so good, like I’ve come full circle in my own journey. (Plus, I’ll finally get to study a Course in Miracles, in the way he’s organized it).

I live my life differently based upon a lot of little things I’ve learned and incorporated, but there are few books I’ve read multiple times and studied, that literally changed my worldview (or actually, my spiritual view and set point).

Feeling

And as for Connections, I feel we’re all building blocks that the next generations will use as guideposts along their life journeys. That knowing makes me FEEL existentially wonderful–not only happy. 🙂

Immune health is interconnected

The gut health and chronic dis-ease connection

More is coming to light about the way our guts are related to the health of our immune systems. It’s becoming increasingly important for us to learn how to assist our body’s innate immunity, to benefit from good health.

Our gut (our intestines that make up the microbiome) has quickly become one of the most interesting and engaging topics in medicine. Researchers are exploring the powerful interconnection between human health and the vast ecosystem of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses living quietly inside. When this ecosystem is out of balance, it can set one up to experience chronic diseases. Such dis-ease might include: auto-immune issues, diabetes, heart disease, mood disorders, and obesity.

Innate immunity 

Innate immunity refers to nonspecific defense mechanisms that come into play immediately or within hours of an antigen’s appearance in the body. These mechanisms include physical barriers such as skin, chemicals in the blood, and immune system cells that attack foreign cells in the body. Cancer

In a research study of about 78,000 men and women without any previous history of cancer or diabetes, a significant number of those who consumed high amounts of sugar over a 7 year timeframe developed pancreatic cancer. The study research stated, “The consumption of added sugar, soft drinks and sweetened fruit soups or stewed fruit was positively associated with the risk of pancreatic cancer.”

Studies show cancer cells rely on sugar to function. Thus, your cancer risk goes up when you consume sugar. The mitochondria of cancer cells thrive on sugar and don’t burn other fuel as effectively.

Diabetes

Foods such as: cinnamon, gymnema sylvestre, and turmeric are especially helpful as anti-diabetic agents. Thus, it may be prudent to add these foods to your diet often.

Obesity

Our brain, gut, and hormones think we need to store more fat than we need. Obese people have an elevated “set-point weight”, otherwise known as hormonal dysregulation. This means that our body thinks we need more food, yet we have too much.

An overweight person can get a fecal implant from a thin person and become thin, by resetting their weight set-point.

Hormonally helpful foods can ease the body to reduce its set-point weight. A microbiome test can provide results to include a list of these foods.
