Robyn Openshaw, aka the Green Smoothie Girl, sent an email out that speaks to exactly what I started doing mid summer 2020 that pulled me out of Lockdown depression!!

What did Robyn say?


Yes, it’s all about Balance.

But my problem was, I didn’t reach out to Robyn (or search her blog), reach out to anyone, or even read my own book, when I experienced DEPRESSING THOUGHTS!

Thankfully, I was able to pull out of the DEEP dark hole in mind, but it was a scary time! I didn’t even cry (as I would have years ago). But my strong WILL kicked in at some point, and I told myself, “Go for a walk.” That’s right! As simple and innocuous as that sounds, just getting off my rear and stepping outside, really was the beginning to me getting my Life back!

I started noting things I noticed in Nature. I started noting new thoughts as they dropped into my mind, as I was walking.

It was hot.

I was sweaty.

I had bugs nipping at my body.

Then, I began Communing with the Trees on our property and along the dirt street while I was walking.

After a few weeks, I had started a new diet program that came my way. And I had started some new supplements.

I found a bit of relief with each step I took.

I found a bit of relief with each step I took. Yes, I did.

But what became even more exciting was that I began to codify my thought processes and subsequent actions.

And all of that is what I pulled together to create the loose, creative framework for others to use in building their own daily ritual(s) called, Integrated Spiral™.

Because we already have all the books, videos, podcasts, tools, and such to get ourselves healthy and happy, but not the processes in place to integrate them into each day!

And the thing is, practicing simply a few Integrated Spiral methods, the first is something I call, Gratitude F-L-O-W, you can begin to experience a mood lift! I love uplifting others. Now, we can help each other. It is possible to feel better, relieve anxious feelings and find relief from the struggle. Let’s talk.

I got my first real taste of depression in 2020. I fell in a deep dark “hole” (mentally) for a couple of months. I wasn’t mySelf. Thankfully, I climbed out, but it wasn’t always easy. And I was very grumpy.

I had put on 20 pounds. Twenty EXTRA pounds I didn’t need or want.

  • I felt helpless
  • I felt confused
  • I felt apathetic
  • I felt hopeless

Even though I knew I was loved (by my family), I didn’t feel lovable.

I felt abandoned by friends (though I chatted with some on Facebook).

I didn’t feel good physically.

And I felt very far away from my previous “vibrant life.”

I’d felt frustrated and had been in a state of overwhelm since moving to “off grid” life, then hit with the COVID lockdown. But, this downward spiral felt different. Emotionally, I felt shutdown. Yet, I knew I had the answers all around me. I needed to find a way to integrate what I already had INTO each day!

Once I found a way up and out, I wrote about it (because that’s what I do). I left mySelf breadcrumbs to pull mySelf up and out again, if I ever let mySelf fall into that mind cavern again. And from my writings, Integrated Spiral was born. ❤️🦋🌀🎼🙏☯️

I took the best “stick to it” processes (that I had learned but hadn’t implemented) and put them into a loose, wiggly, flow vs structure that at the end of 4 weeks allows anyone to figure out and design their own ritual… part breathwork, meditation, physical movement, and ALL gratitude! Yeah, baby!! ((It is what I’ve been doing for 5-6 months to beat depression, nighttime snacking, and lose 30 pounds.)) ❤️😉

Integrated Spiral Beta Testing

I knew my process worked for me. But would it work for others?

Review #1 – after the end of the first week. Sent to me from a long-time friend participating in the program not anticipating what it was about or how she might benefit. Here’s what she experienced:

“It actually really opened something up for me. And since I’ve been nose to grindstone and not open in a long time, this opening arrived pouring a lot in very quickly. Feeling great yesterday and today, excited for (next) Sunday!”

Review # 2 – my first lovely participant wrote:

“If you are sharing results, I’m letting you know that helped me so much and I realized I’m writing on the side that I wear my bracelets on, so I’m figuring that they may be putting out bad energy rather than receiving too much of it and truthfully I don’t receive well…”

“I wasn’t feeling well before our session and I’m still not feeling great. I did too much last week. I have to be more discerning with my energy each day. 😚 p.s. We all enjoy when you speak!!!! Don’t think about “speaking too much”. 😂”
